Each muslin bag is made from unbleached cotton, and is eco friendly, safe & non-toxic. At the end of their life, the bags bags are biodegradable and decompose in landfills. There is a drawstring on the top of the tea filter bag. Pull the string to close the top after you have added your loose leaf tea, then put the bag into a cup of hot boiled water and let it steep for at lease several minutes.
